Education

    I graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Three years later, I obtained a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S) in Administration and Supervision from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee.



Experience

     Throughout the past 19 years as an educator, I have taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 6th grade and READ 180, Creative Writing and English/Language Arts for students in grades 6 through 8. In addition, I have held the position of Instructional Facilitator in the Memphis City School School System, currently known as the Shelby County School System.

  Welcome to My Class! I am super excited to have your child in my class! It is an honor and a pleasure to work wih you and your family here at DCMS.   

A Few Facts About Me :

  I was born in Miami, Florida and  I attended school in the Dade County School System in Miami for grades K-8. As my high school years approached, my family moved to Chantilly, Virginia, which is a suburb of Washington DC. I attended Chantilly High School for grades 9-11 and during my senior year of high school, my father's job transferred him to Memphis, Tennessee and I graduated from Craigmont High School. My hobbies are exercising, reading, shopping, spending time with family and friends, traveling and participating in Zumba classes. I have been happily married for 18 years and we have a seven year old son.
