7th Grade Math

Welcome to 7th Grade Math!
I am grateful and excited to have the opportunity to teach your child Math this 2020- 2021 school year. On this site you will be able to browse and see my assignments and announcements that your student will need this school year.
Classroom Information:
Homework: Homework will be assigned on a needed basis. If homework is turned in late points will be deducted each day late.
Quizzes: 7th grade Math quizzes are taken as a classwork grade. Quizzes are also open notes. Therefore it is important that the students take their notes during class. We take notes for every lesson. If your student misses a day it is their responsibility to get their missing notes and assignments.
Tests: Students will take 4 tests every nine weeks. These dates are located on their calendars.

About the Teacher
I have been married for 14 years and have two children that attend DeSoto County Schools. I am originally from Grenada MS. I graduated from Grenada High School in 2003. While in Grenada, I received my calling in 2004 to teach PK classes. Little did I know how much joy teaching would bring, I continued this position for 10 years.
I am a graduate from The University of Mississippi. I received my Bachelor in Elementary Education with a Special Education endorsement. I am also endorsed in Science and Social Studies. This will be my fifth year with DeSoto County Schools.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and traveling. I enjoy swimming, playing softball, and attending many of my children's events. Family is a very important part of my life.
I am happy to be at DCMS and look forward to having a successful year teaching your child.
