Welcome to 7th Grade Math!
It's a Great Day to be a Jag! Greetings! My name is Chiquita Berry, and I teach 7th-grade Compacted and Regular Math.
Major math strands for the seventh-grade curriculum are number sense and operations, algebra, geometry, spatial sense, measurement, and data analysis and probability. While these math strands might surprise you, they are all critical lessons for a seventh-grade math student, and I enjoy preparing my students.
This is my 12th year teaching (fifth year here at DCMS). I have a BS in Information Technology, a BS in Technology Teacher Education, and a MAT in Teaching, all from Mississippi State University. I will complete my Ed Specialist in the Fall of 2022.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, traveling, cheering for the MSU Bulldogs, and shopping.
